Andrey Berezin

Andrei

Andrey Berezin was born in Moscow (Russia) in 1980. He achieved his Master Degree in Organic Chemistry at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (MUCTR).  In 2008 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry of Russian Academy of Sciences (ZIOC) where he worked on sulfur-nitrogen heterocycles under the supervision of Prof. Rakitin. Later on he joined the group of Prof. Koutentis at the University of Cyprus (UCY) as a post-doc research fellow, working on the chemistry of “Blatter radicals”. After 4 years in Cyprus he joined the group of Prof. Bonifazi at the University of Namur (UNamur, Belgium) working on development of synthesis of new chromophores.
