Grazia Bezzu

Grazia graduated in Chemistry at University of Sassari (Italy) in 2004 with a master project based on the synthesis of novel β-lactames.

She then moved to Cardiff University where she obtained a PhD in 2009 with a project based on the preparation of nanoporous molecular crystals from novel phthalocyanine derivatives under the supervision of Prof. Neil McKeown.

From 2008 until 2018 she worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, before in Cardiff, then from 2014 at the University of Edinburgh, in the McKeown group. She extended her research to the design and synthesis of microporous organic molecules (OMIMs) and Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIMs).

In March 2018, she joined the Bonifazi Group at Cardiff University as PDRA, where she works on the preparation and supramolecular assembly of chalcogen containing aromatic molecules.
